Mission Arc #4 - Layover

Mission Orders, Stardate 11410.27

The U.S.S. Sentinel is holding its place at Starbase 157 after dropping off their political refugee, Shan A'ran. They've been given a timeframe of two weeks to have the ship repaired, missing components replaced and everything stocked and ready for the last leg of their trip to Starbase 123 at the far reaches of Federation-explored space. The station itself has a venerable history, being the first vessel to detect a Borg vessel before the incident at Wolf 359. It came under heavy fire but survived, marking its place in the annals of history.

These days its position bordering both the Romulan and Klingon borders offers it a unique perspective and a whole host of interesting denizens that pass through her docking ports, while also being a hub of Federation and Starfleet activity along both of these borders. As such it's afforded a hefty maintenance budget and is rarely without top of the line equipment or personnel. With the Sentinel stuck here for this length of time, it'll give the crew a chance to work out the logistics of passing through Klingon space that'll afford them the least amount of molestation by the currently Allied-but-not-quite-friendly Klingons.
