I loved this line particularly.
Really good writing, Tim. :)

Hitch had delivered the troubling message, the contents of which confirmed his suspicions about Bantree. She was undercover, either for Section 31 or some other spy organization, and she most likely held an involvement with the mysterious appearance of life on that planet in the last 20 years. Marcus' question had reminded him of that previous issue, which he had put away due to the more pressing matter of the Vulcan woman. Hitch had observed Marcus, who despite his best intentions to hide it, had seemingly scratched out his name on his PADD, specifically after he mentioned the Vulcan woman and who he thought there was a connection between the two. Now he knew that Bantree wa sin someway involved with his reinstatement, seeing as the message on the data module was obviously from the Vulcan, who after laying her trap seemed to have planted the frequency as a prize for solving her puzzle. Perhaps the woman was spying on Bantree, or she wa swarming with her and had sold her out? No matter the reason, that was only a secondary priority in his mind, the first being the ship that had visited the planet. He had never gotten around to researching the history of the vessel after its visit to the planet, such as if any crew members ha disappeared after the survey, and he would have to start. Sitting at a computer terminal, he once again they'd in the name of the ship, and would see where it would take him.
